Terms and Conditions

The N/a’an ku sê Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary is a haven of tranquility and a sanctuary offering a fresh start to numerous animal species.

Within the N/a’an ku sê Foundation, we care for a collection of majestic carnivores that can never be reintroduced into the Namibian wilderness. These animals have become human‐imprinted, a condition that significantly diminishes their chances of survival in the wild. The reasons behind their imprinting are varied; many were once kept as pets or arrived at N/a’an ku sê as orphaned cubs.

At N/a’an ku sê, we have a steadfast policy that strictly forbids petting or touching of any kind when interacting with cheetahs or caracals during walks. Furthermore, we insist that photographs taken should solely feature the animals themselves. This also applies to the tempting practice of capturing “selfies” with the animals, as it contradicts the ethical principles upheld by the N/a’an ku sê Foundation.

Displaying images of humans alongside wild animals, regardless of their familiarity with human presence, inadvertently promotes the very practices that our foundation vehemently opposes—such as the exotic pet trade, the exploitation of wild animals, and the misguided perception of a research‐based sanctuary being reduced to a mere petting zoo. Failure to comply with our policy of “no humans in photographs with cheetahs or other carnivores” will result in an immediate cessation of the activity in question.

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, please note that certain activities are not suitable for children aged 3‐12, and they must be at least 1.5 meters tall to participate in adult‐only activities.

Please be aware that while we strive to provide remarkable wildlife sightings, it’s important to note that the animal kingdom operates on its own terms. As a result, we cannot guarantee specific wildlife sightings despite our best efforts.

Please note that all activities offered are subject to availability and non‐commissionable. We strive to provide a diverse range of experiences, but certain factors such as weather conditions, wildlife patterns, and logistical considerations may affect the availability of specific activities. Our team works diligently to accommodate your preferences and ensure an enjoyable journey. It is important to review and adhere to the Terms and Conditions that apply to your booking.

These terms outline important details regarding reservations, cancellations, liability, and other relevant policies. By familiarizing yourself with these terms, you can make informed decisions and have a seamless experience. We prioritize transparency and are available to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Your satisfaction is our utmost priority, and we aim to create unforgettable memories within the framework of these Terms and Conditions.
